Cadet Steve Young was the first Commanding Officer of the Sanger NJROTC in 1977 and had the honor of being the first Sanger cadet to be accepted to the Naval Academy in 1979 – the first of twenty one Sanger NJROTC cadets to attend Annapolis over the next eighteen years.  Captain Steve Young, USN retired from the Navy in 2013, and his last official Navy biography appears below.
