Sir–Nordie Norwood here. As a USAF Capt, I served on an Air Force- Navy Exchange tour with VF-154 and made the 1976 WestPac Cruise under your command on the USS Ranger. No particular reason you would remember me–but I sure remember you. The lessons I learned from your outstanding leadership stayed with me for decades. I believe that the things I learned from you and others during my tour with the Navy helped me a great deal in the Air Force. And I certainly became a strong advocate for “America’s Navy”.
I stay in touch with Reldon Leininger and other VF-154/AirWing2 buds–and saw your name and contact info as a result of a recent visit from some former shipmates. So thought I would drop you a note and let you know that your influence went well beyond the Navy–and even into our Air Force.
