“I was heloed from the USS Hancock (CVA-19) to the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) in the Gulf of Tonkin to receive an award from Air Vice Marshall Ky of South Vietnam in 1967. Will never forget looking into the Air Marshall’s dark eyes as he pinned the medal on my uniform. He was wearing a black flight suit with a purple scarf and black ball cap.”
